Our company was established in September of the year 2000.
After being the chief technician for both Melos Audio & Melos Technologies for over 20 years, I decided to open Melos Audio Restoration. The ONLY qualified service facility for Melos Hi-Fi gear in the world, licensed with permission, from the original designer.
Our Goal is to show every one of our clients that we really do care and will do our very best to cater to your audio needs.
All of our technicians are factory certified and have proven themselves to be able to solve even the most difficult of problems. In addition, we provide them with the highest state of the art equipment to enable the most efficient services available today. Our normal turnaround time for repairs would be approximately one week. Of course, the availability of parts required to complete the repair create delays. All you have to do is send us your unit and one of our technicians will be promptly assigned to your component(s). Within 24 hours, a service representative will contact you via phone, fax, and or e-mail to inform you exactly what is needed and what the costs will be to repair, restore, or modify your unit(s). All repairs performed by our staff are 100% guaranteed!

Rare and treasured audio equipment will be restored to original factory specifications, receiving the same loving care as that provided by the owner.
MELOS AUDIO RESTORATION SERVICES OFFERED
MELOS AUDIO RESTORATIONS can provide custom designed and built equipment, or modifications for existing equipment. Projects are handled on an individual basis. Please send us an e-mail describing your requirements.
REPAIRS:
Units sent in for repair will be evaluated to determine what is required to return the unit to original factory specifications. An estimate will then be prepared to inform the owner of cost and time required to obtain parts and perform the repair. Estimates will be presented to the owner within one week of receipt of the unit. Units will carry an unconditional ninety day warranty that covers the parts replaced and the labor required to replace that parts. This warranty does not cover parts that were not replaced. The owner is responsible for shipping charges to and from the repair facility. If the owner does not wish to have the unit repaired, a fee of $60.00 will be assessed to cover the cost of evaluating the unit and preparing the estimate. Units will carry a conditional 6 month warranty, a fee of $69.00 will be assessed.
UPGRADES:
A unit sent in for upgrade will have all passive components in the signal path replaced, with the exception of transformers, tube or transistor sockets, etc. Precision metal film resistors, polypropylene or polystyrene capacitors where practical, will be used to replace the original components. If large value electrolytic capacitors are in the signal path, they will be replaced with high temperature, LOW ESR Electrolytic types, shunted with polypropylene capacitors. Active components will be replaced as required. The unit will meet or exceed the original factory specifications upon completion of the upgrade. A unit sent in for an upgrade will evaluated to determine the cost and availability of parts and the time required to perform the upgrade. An estimate will then be prepared to inform the owner of cost and time required to obtain the parts and perform the upgrade. Estimates will be presented to the owner within one week of receipt of the unit. Unit will carry an unconditional ninety day warranty that covers the parts replaced and the labor required to replace that parts. This warranty does not cover parts that were not replaced. The owner is responsible for shipping charges to and from the repair facility. If the owner does not wish to have the unit repaired, a fee of $60.00 will be assessed to cover the cost of evaluating the unit and preparing the estimate. RESTORATION:
A unit sent in for restoration will be repaired, updated, and cleaned. Active components will be replaced as required. All passive components will be replaced with the exception of transformers, tube or transistor sockets, etc., unless these items are defective. Precision metal film resistors, polypropylene or polystyrene capacitors where practical, will be used to replace the original components.
Please do not ship equipment to MELOS AUDIO RESTORATION without prior correspondence. A shipment authorization number will be assigned to customers sending equipment to MELOS AUDIO RESTORATION. This number is used as a reference for the piece of equipment, it’s owner, services desired, and invoicing. When equipment is shipped, please provide the carrier and tracking number. If the equipment does not arrive within the specified time, the owner will be notified, and the shipment will be traced. These procedures allow us to maintain an orderly process of handling customer equipment.
PAYMENT TERMS:
MELOS AUDIO RESTORATION accepts money orders, personal checks, and credit cards. Payment is due in full, in US funds, before the unit(s) will be returned to the customer. Personal checks and credit card transactions must clear before shipment.
